Pediatric Orthopaedics

A child’s musculoskeletal system undergoes many changes during the maturation process. Pediatric treatment often differs from what General Orthopaedists would suggest for adults.

We specialize in sports medicine and have state of the art treatment for small children and adolescents with athletic injuries. If your child or teen has an injury that affects sports performance, exercise, or activity, our pediatric sports medicine team has the expertise, experience and qualifications to treat his or her youth specific problems. In growing children, injuries and medical problems in the bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints are often quite different from conditions more commonly seen in older patients.

Our specialists diagnose, treat, and manage the musculoskeletal and medical problems of children and teens, including the following:

  • Sprains and strains
  • Dislocations
  • Ligament injuries
  • Minor fractures and avulsions
  • Tendinitis
  • Overuse injuries
  • Cartilage injuries
  • Concussions
  • Stress fractures
